On January 30th at 12:40, we were five minutes early, we dropped JD off
at the MTC. It took all of 90 seconds.
I am not exaggerating.
I am not exaggerating.
We had a
wonderful morning. We went to Angie's, in Logan, for breakfast and hot
chocolate. Their cocoa comes in mugs with cream that might as well be ice cream. Brynne
and Clark said good bye to JD there.
We drove to Provo on roads that weren't great. We stopped at Kohl's in Provo to buy a watch. We met another family doing the same thing. They were taking their son to the MTC that day too. We went to the temple to take pictures.
| Elder Webb (JD's Host) Elder Wyatt Christensen from Preston |
We drove to the MTC.
We parked. We all got out, gave JD a hug, got his bags out, and then
he was onto the curb. We heard someone say, "Hey Elder". JD dropped
his bag and wrapped his arms around Elder Wyatt Christensen from Preston
a former baseball teammate and friend. His host, Elder Webb, picked up his bag and then
they walked away. JD never looked back. Everyone says this is great.
It wasn't so great for those of us still standing on the curb. We were
all better though 24 hours later. This is going to be fun.
