Elder Mousser (M-au-zer) is my new companion! He is fresh from the MTC and ready to rock! He is from Springville, Utah and just graduated from Springville High in June! He is the oldest of 5 kids and is also the first grandson to go on a mission! I can already tell he is going to be a great missionary and leader in the Washington Federal Way Mission. I am grateful to be with him! :)
Hylebos, Hylebos, Hylebos. I sure love it here. The families are doing well! It is just so nerve-wracking all of the time! These people are so close and EVERY DECISION matters. So you are just constantly praying for them and asking God what you can do to help them. It is the greatest work to be immersed in.
On Sunday, the Barners had their baby blessed at their home. Sis Barner's dad performed the blessing and me and Elder Jeppesen, Bro Frieszell, and Bro Green stood in. It was a super powerful experience and afterward Bro Barner was so happy. Last night he told us how powerful it was and how he barely kept in his tears. They are SO close. They just need to decide to go all in. They are feeling it bigtime. Pray for them. They are going to Texas for a week next week.
Taylor came to church this week! It has been amazing to see how the Ward and Deacon's quorum has just taken him in! They love him and everyone can see the potential in him. He has the light of Christ burning in him and he just wants to be a part of that which is good and right. We will teach him his first lesson tomorrow and I will be surprised if he doesn't get baptized in November.
Bro. Liaina missed his lesson this afternoon, so hopefully we will be able to make that up tomorrow. Other than that he is still on track! We just really need to help him realize the testimony that he already has! He is doing well though! Baptism will either be the 8th or the 15th!
I learned some super cool things in the scriptures this morning as I prepared for District Meeting. We had a great district meeting today. But anyways, here is a little scripture chain for ya;
Moroni 7:28-33
Romans 10:13-17
2 Nephi 33:1
D&C 100:4-8
So here is a simple run-down, and then you can find the patterns in the scriptures... As we show faith in Christ, He commands His Angels, who minister unto us "that we may bear testimony of him. (now go to Moroni 7:32)
32 And by so doing, the Lord God prepareth the way that the residue of men may have faith in Christ, that the Holy Ghostmay have place in their hearts, according to the power thereof; and after this manner bringeth to pass the Father, thecovenants which he hath made unto the children of men.
32 And by so doing, the Lord God prepareth the way that the residue of men may have faith in Christ, that the Holy Ghostmay have place in their hearts, according to the power thereof; and after this manner bringeth to pass the Father, thecovenants which he hath made unto the children of men.
Also if you look up the cross reference to the word "residue" it takes you to an amazing story about Enoch in the book of Moses!
So if you wanna understand the "manner" by which God intends to bring the gospel to everyone, these scriptures are a good start!
I love you all! Thanks for everything. Prayers are with you!
Elder Mousser
